Marion Buechner teaches vinyasa flow, yin and restorative yoga. Coming from a fitness and running background Marion started yoga from a mere physical point of view. Curious about the ‘big thing’ yoga, she began first practising yoga online and was immediately convinced by its benefits, though, she still chose the fast flowing and power vinyasa classes. It was not until she went to her first ‘real’ yoga class and met her first ‘real’ yoga teacher who slowed her down on her practice and she realized doing less means actually gaining more – gaining more strength, but also more awareness of the body and the connection to the mind. Finding the right balance between effort and ease, on the mat as well as off the mat.
Marion also recognized the healing benefits through yoga; having been a long distance runner for almost a decade and participated in several marathons, she sustained a bad achilles tendon injury. Yoga taught her how to step back and to slow down, becoming aware and accept what the body really needs. It is amazing how much one can grow, learn and develop a deeper sense of gratitude just by having a consistent yoga practice.
Marion is 500h Yoga Alliance certified and has been teaching yoga since 2014. She initially trained with Pure Health and teaches currently on their 200h yoga teacher training. Marion completed her advanced teacher training at Sampoorna Yoga in India and her yin training with Josh Summers.
Marion classes are challenging and dynamic, but yet mindful with the focus on breath and body mind connection.
Yoga is for everyone. Providing an open, trusted and safe space for everyone to feel comfortable and being able to connect to themselves is essential to her.
Marion continues her study by attending various classes, workshops and being a student to this infinite topic of yoga. She is forever grateful to all her teachers who gave her the right tools to go deeper into her own practice and teachings.
